July 3, 2014Agu v. Regents of the University of California: Suit for Wrongful Death
August 6, 2014On June 3, 2014, Chris D. Collins with the assistance of Paul J. Vitanza obtained a jury verdict in excess of $2,970,000 on behalf of several high-profile clients who were sued by a partner in a restaurant joint venture at DFW Airport. The plaintiff asserted multiple counts of breaches of contract and fiduciary duties against the firm’s clients. Upon review of the facts and legal obligations of the parties, the firm assisted its clients in bringing similar counterclaims against the plaintiff. After a month long trial, the jury awarded the plaintiff no damages, but found that the plaintiff had breached contractual and fiduciary duties and awarded the firm’s clients all requested past and future economic damages and attorneys’ fees incurred through the course of the litigation.
