Pitt Resolves Dispute with the Big East Conference

July 23, 2012In June 2012, the Big East Conference filed suit against Texas Christian University (“TCU”) to recover a $5 million exit fee for failing to enter the conference. In published statements, the Big East Conference has stated “TCU has fully discharged its obligations to the Big East and the lawsuit is amicably settled without admission of liability of any party.” Although the terms of the settlement have not been released, ESPN.com has reported that TCU agreed to pay the Big East Conference $5 million.
